Connie Encalade's career with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office began April, 1979.  She has dedicated over thirty years to the Correctional Center where she has enjoyed a number of challenging positions.  She was initially assigned to Floor Control Operator and later worked Intake Booking, Inmate Security before being promoted to Lieutenant and now Commander of Court Transportation.  She is responsible for ensuring that incarcerated inmates are escorted to the courts in a safe, secure and prompt manner.  Her daily duties include supervising employees who are wonderful to work with, ensuring that an officer is assigned to each Division of Court. 

"First and foremost I give thanks to God for his grace and mercy that allowed me to be a productive member of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.  I feel privileged to be a member of a department with such integrity", said Encalade.
